It’s been years in the making, but now it’s nearly time for the gates of the FohlenWelt to finally open. The new interactive club museum in Borussia-8-Grad at BORUSSIA-PARK will open to the public on 5th May, featuring an enjoyable programme of events. Borussia’s history from 1900 to the present day can be relived over 1,250 square metres.
Nine areas of history, 21 themed areas
The exhibition is split into nine so-called areas of history, in which Gladbach’s history is chronologically told through exhibits and multimedia footage. In addition, there are 21 themed areas where visitors can increase their Borussia knowledge, relive legendary club moments or create their own Gladbach-related experiences. Another highlight is the guide system, which rounds off the brilliant Fohlenwelt experience. “Every display cabinet is like a painting. Some have very factual content, while others are a touch more peculiar. But it will hopefully fascinate all visitors,” explained Elmar Kreuels, FohlenWelt director.
Tickets available from 2nd vApril
The FohlenWelt will be open between 10am and 6pm, and from 10am to 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays. You can book admission tickets from Tuesday, 2nd April at www.museum.borussia.de. Once the FohlenWelt opens on 5th May, the price structure for stadium tours will change. There will still be regular guided tours at BORUSSIA-PARK on 5th May, with pre-booking not necessary. However, you should expect long waiting times at the FohlenWelt.
