Work is underway in the FohlenWelt ahead of the forthcoming exhibition, “Günter Netzer – Aus der Tiefe des Raumes (English: Coming from deep)”, which will be open from 5th September. Borussia’s club museum will continue to operate with usual opening times.
In the FohlenWelt the wheels are in motion for the preparation of the venue’s second exhibition, which is dedicated to the club’s legendary number ten, Günter Netzer.
Titled “Günter Netzer – Aus der Tiefe des Raumes”, the exhibition will run from 5th September 2019 until 15th March 2020and will look at the life and career of Günter Netzer, one of the most fascinating players in Borussia history. In addition to the footballing successes of the legendary Foal, the audience will also get an insight into Netzer’s life and work off the pitch. The exhibition will feature unseen photos of the car enthusiast and former disco owner, who will celebrate his 75th birthday on 14th September. A number of friends and family members were interviewed for the exhibition, with works from artists currently close to the Borussia legend also to be presented in the FohlenWelt.
The first exhibition, which has been on show since the opening of the FohlenWelt in May, featured 70 years of sporting history presented by Borussia’s kit partner, Puma. In the meantime, work was going on ahead of the upcoming event, and preparations have been in full swing since the beginning of the week. During the exhibition, the club museum will continue to open during the usual times until the new show “Günter Netzer – Aus der Tiefe des Raumes” on 5th September.
